Jade Transport driver Ben Overton hauls bulk chemicals with this special-edition 2021 Peterbilt 389 Pride & Class.
The truck was on display at the 2021 Shell Rotella SuperRigs working truck show in Hampshire, Illinois, where it won second place in the Tractor-Trailer division. It also earned a spot in the 2022 Shell Rotella SuperRigs calendar.
The truck is numbered 359 in the Jade Transport fleet, so the company has added some customizations to it to give it a Peterbilt 359-style throwback look.
Some changes include a retro paint scheme, swapping the stainless front fenders that are normally seen on Pride & Class editions for 359-style painted fenders, Jade’s Shift Products stack shrouds and more.
Under the hood, the rig sports a Cummins X15 with an 18-speed. The trailer Overton brought to SuperRigs was a 2010 Brenner 7,200-gallon tanker.
Ben Overton showed this 2021 Peterbilt 389 Pride & Class edition at the Shell Rotella SuperRigs working truck show in July. Given the truck’s fleet number, 359, the company designed it in an old-school Peterbilt 359 scheme.
With fleet number 359, Jade added a number of custom touches to the truck, including the custom paint scheme, custom stack shroud, custom mirror brackets and more.
The company also replaced both the front and rear fenders on the truck to give it more of an old-school look.
